And then there’s Goodwill
A Christmas tradition that
Never stops giving.
Choosing well-worn clothing
(Not new surplus waiting to be bought)
Requires some careful thinking
While envisioning former owner(s).
Who were they, these kindred spirits
Liking the old and worn over new
They’d rather shop Goodwill than Macy’s
But for reasons they’ll never tell.
